| Cardeillac is placed within easy reach of the local, though internationally acclaimed, Summer music events. Jazz in Marciac, Mirande Country Festival and several classical, Latin-American and salsa festivals. For the gourmands, there are several quality restaurants in the area, as well as the wine producers of the outstanding though relatively unknown Madiran, Pacherenc, Tariquet and Jurançon. Nature lovers can also feast their eyes on the red kites, golden orioles, deer and wild boar that abound. White cow egrets and hoopoes are common African visitors. Golfers can find two 18 hole courses within 40 minute's drive and in the Winter, you can be in one of several ski resorts just an hour after having breakfast. For bargain hunters there are weekly village market, vide greniers (car boot sales with a definite french touch), brocante and antique markets.
